    [Watergate] Archibald Cox Typed Letter Signed. One page on "Law School of Harvard University" letterhead, 8.5" x 11", Cambridge, Massachusetts, September 27, 1974. , Cox writes to Jim Rogan: "...President Ford has pardoned former President Nixon. I am afraid that his action will serve to keep Watergate in the front of the public ..." [and:] Elliot L. Richardson Typed Letter Signed. One page on his personal letterhead, 8.5" x 11", Washington, D.C., September 16, 1974. In part: "Nixon's resignation was in his own, as well as the country's best interest." Richardson (1920-1999) was a member of President Richard Nixon's cabinet who resigned rather than obey Nixon's request to fire special prosecutor Archibald Cox.
