    [Thomas Edison]. Charles Edison Pistol License Signed and related documents. Two pages, 4.75" x 3", New York, January 3, 1955. Edison, who has signed the license on the verso, was Chairman of the Board for Thomas A. Edison, Inc. and was the son of inventor Thomas Alva Edison. Also, one letter from the New York Police Department to Charles Edison informing him that the application for the renewal of his pistol license is included, one letter from Edison's secretary, Mary E. Merritt per Charles Edison, informing Lieutenant Andrew Leddy that she is sending two photos of Edison, the application for renewal of the license, and a check in the amount of $5, and one letter from Andrew Leddy sending Edison his renewed Pistol License #30.
