    "Mercury Seven" Astronauts: Signed Individual Color NASA Glossy Photos from the Personal Collection of Astronaut Roger Chaffee. The seven heroes with the "Right Stuff" each signed a photo for their new fellow astronaut. All are in superb condition and with purple ink captions on the verso. Included, as follows:
    Alan Shepard (1923-1998)- An 8" x 10" business suit pose photo with black-letter photo ID number "NASA S-62-8083". Signed: "To Roger Chaffee/ with warmest regards/ and great expectations-/ Al Shepard".
    Gus Grissom (1926-1967)- An 8" x 10" business suit pose photo with red-letter photo ID number "NASA S-62-5539". Signed: "Best of Luck Roger/ Gus Grissom". Grissom and Chaffee were to die together during a training procedure for Apollo 1.
    John Glenn- An 8" x 10" business suit pose photo with black-letter photo ID number "NASA S-62-5540". Signed: "Best regards/ to Roger-/ J H Glenn Jr.".
    Deke Slayton (1924-1993)- An 8" x 10" business suit pose photo with red-letter photo ID number "NASA S-62-5536". Signed: "For Roger with/ best wishes for/ success-/ D K Slayton".
    Wally Schirra (1923-2007)- A 10" x 8" spacesuit pose photo with red-letter photo ID number "NASA S-62-5526". Signed in blue ballpoint: "Best wishes Roger-/ come up and join us-/ Wally Schirra".
    Gordon Cooper (1927-2004)- An 8" x 10" spacesuit pose photo with black-letter photo ID number "NASA S-62-5530". Signed: "Best wishes to Roger/ Gordon Cooper".
    Scott Carpenter- An 8" x 10" business suit pose photo with red-letter photo ID number "NASA S-63-1066". Signed: "To Roger with/ very best wishes &/ a hearty welcome aboard./ Scott Carpenter".

    Included with these photos is a signed letter of authenticity from Martha Chaffee, the widow of the late Roger Chaffee, attesting to their origination in her husband's treasured collection of signed NASA photographs.
