    [Abraham Lincoln]: William Herndon and Ward Lamon Autographs. 8" x 9 ¾" ALS, Springfield, Illinois, February 27, 1867, signed "W. H. Herndon", explaining that he has been giving away autographs of Mr. Lincoln from 1859 to 1866 and has exhausted the supply. Sold together with a clipped signature signed: "Ward H. Lamon/ Washington" (Lincoln's occasional law partner and bodyguard) and an "added bonus" of a clipped signature signed: "W. S. Herndon/ Tyler/ Texas" (Georgia-born lawyer, Captain in the 13th Texas Infantry during the Civil War, member of Congress). Plus, booklets from 1918 and 1930 on the subject of Herndon, Lincoln's "Law Partners, Clerks and Office Boys".
