Brigham Young Document Signed as leader of the Mormon Church. One page, 8" x 5", Salt Lake City, July 12, 1874. This manuscript check was written to the First National Bank by one John B. Price: "Please pay to Presid't Brigham Young the sum of one hundred pounds, on demand and charge my account." Young endorsed the check in full "Brigham Young" on the verso, which bears several ink strokes across the signature as cancellation. The bizarre check is accompanied by Price's letter to Young presenting the check in gratitude for "the strenuous exertions you have put forward toward the elevation of the people of Utah. Not being a Mormon myself, I donate this." Apparently, Price was quite a scoundrel - the verso of his letter bears a period notation: "John B. Price alias Lord Littleton . . . forwarded the Des[eret] National Bank for collection and sent to every bank in Denver - but no good - nothing but[a] bummer's check." Mounting traces on the verso. This is a rare example of a check endorsed by Brigham Young.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
