    Zane Grey Autograph Quotation Signed "From my favorite book/ Zane Grey" in purple ink. One page, 5" x 3". The noted western author pens a lengthy quotation from Riders of the Purple Sage. With three file holes in left margin, along with one small hole in lower left corner. Typed in the lower left, "Zane Grey, Altadena, California, December 16, 1927."

    More Information:

    The quotation reads in full, "A pale star, peeping out of a sky that had begun to turn blue, amerced the end of twilight. And all the purple shadows moved and hovered and changed till softly and mysteriously they embraced black night. Beautiful, wild, strange, silent surprise Valley!"
