    Two Autograph Letters Signed by Authors. Includes:
    Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. Autograph Letter Signed, one page, 4.5" x 7", "Machellan's Hotel, 17 Dover St.", May 25, 1886. Holmes informs the recipient that he is "welcome to take the two volumes...I feel complimented by your wishing to include them."
    William Thackery Autograph Letters Signed. One page, 4.5" x 7.25", n.p., "24 March". Thackery's single line note is written in a miniscule hand and reads in full: "My dear Milnes I would come indeed with pleasure but consider the day of the month evr. Yr. Wm Thackery." Usual mail folds with minor soiling to the perimeter and slight smudge to the signature, else good.
