Description

Truman Capote Autograph Letter Signed "Truman C." on the verso of a picture postcard from Greece, 4" x 5.75", Paros, circa 1960s, to Boris Groudinko of Leningrad, Russia. In full: "Dear Boris- Have settled on this beautiful island for the summer. Wish you could spend your holiday with me. So glad you got the dictionaries. Will write you a letter soon. Please drop me a line. Always-". Capote met Groudinko, an English professor at the University of Leningrad and a fan of Capote's writing, while in Russia in 1955-56 on assignment from the New Yorker. The card is in fine condition with expected postmarks affecting none of the body of the letter, stamp removed.
