    Description

Sinclair Lewis Autograph Letter Signed "Sinclair Lewis." One page, 8" x 9", n.p., n.d. [circa 1931], to Pittsburgh journalist George Siebel. In full: "I'm writing under the dread eye of the judge @ the Accorsi trial. I'm very grateful for your letter of welcome, but I'm tied up with a lot of things here & I'm afraid I shan't have a moment free." The noted American author of social fiction pens his letter while attending the trial of Salvatore Accorsi, a Pennsylvania miner charged with the murder of a state trooper during a miner's strike protesting the execution of Italian anarchists Sacco and Vanzetti. With modest toning, a small closed tear long the edge and the usual fold creases, else fine.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
