    Rose Hartwick Thorpe Autograph Letter Signed "Rose H. Thorpe." Two pages on League of Pen Women, Branch No. 6 stationary, 8.5" x 11", San Diego, California; May 28, 1931. Letter from Thorpe to Frederick M. Steele, Los Angeles, in which she describes her condition after a recent stroke.

    Rose Hartwick Thorpe Autograph Manuscript Signed "Rose Hartwick Thorpe." Five pages (one side), 6.5" x 10.25", San Diego, California; October 3, 1929. Autograph manuscript of Thorpe's most famous poem, "Curfew Must Not Ring Overnight."

    With: Richard Henry Dana Autograph Letter Signed "Rich. H. Dana, Jr." Two pages (of a bifolium) on Office of the United States Attorney, District of Massachusetts stationary, 5" x 8", Boston, Massachusetts; June 3, 1861. Letter from Dana to William P. Fessenden in which he requests a meeting with Fessenden, chair of the judiciary committee in the U.S. Senate.

    Condition: Letters have the usual folds; otherwise good. Manuscript poem is in very good condition.
