    Ralph Waldo Emerson Autograph Letter Signed. Two pages of a bifolium, 5" x 8"; Concord, Massachusetts; November 22, 1853. A letter to Francis Hall informing him of his travel plans. " I go to Philadelphia 1 January, for three weeks, & leave it, say, 21 January. I might then come to Elmira; but you are supplied. I have written E H Roberts to Utica, that I will probably come thither on the 25 th Jany..." Signed, " R.W. Emerson."

    Condition: Boldly penned, with showthrough from verso on page one. A single ink stain on page two, with additional ink stains on the integral blank. Verso of integral blank has light soiling, the recipient's docket, and two paper tabs affixed along the right margin.
