    Description

    Poet and Journalist Edwin Arnold Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 4.5" x 7"; London; April 16, 1851. Writing to an unknown recipient, Arnold references his most noted work: "... I beg to say that the subject of 'The Light of Asia' had engaged my study - in common with many other Indian topics - long before I wrote my poem." Framed alongside an albumen of Arnold to an overall size of 13" x 10.5".
    Condition: Letter is evenly toned and appears to be mounted to the mat. An old dealer's catalog description is affixed to the back.
