    Description

Jules Verne Autograph Note Signed. One page, 3.5" x 2.5", in French, Amiens, July 17, 1893. Here, Verne pens a short, five line note to Miss Hulda B. Bloom of Chicago, Illinois. Verne (1828-1905), the "Father of Science Fiction," awed his readers in the nineteenth century with fantastic tales of flying machines, horseless carriages, buildings of glass that stretched to the heavens, and space travel, things that have since become commonplace. Beautifully written, the text is bright and the card shows only light toning toward the edges. With original transmittal envelope.
