John Stuart Mill Clipped Signature and Carte de Visite Photo. A clipped signature on a 3.25" x 1.25" slip, "Yours most truly/ J. S. Mill", along with a 2.5" x 4" CDV marked "John Watkins, Photo Parliament St" beneath the image. Both are lightly laid down to a 4.5" x 7" sheet. Mill (1806-1873) was an influential English philosopher and economist, an advocate of Utilitarianism. From 1865-1868, as a Member of Parliament, he was the first M.P. to call for women to be given the right to vote. Fine. From the Judith Kaplan Women's History Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
