Important content regarding the women's right to vote issue.

John Stuart Mill Autograph Letter Signed Twice in the Third Person, "Mr Mill". Two+ pages, 4.5" x 7", embossed monogrammed stationery, Blackheath Park [London], July 15, 1867, to Miss [Mary] Thompson. Mill writes, in full: "Mr Mill presents his compliments to Miss Thompson and thanks her for her note and for her article in the South Durham and Cleveland Mercury, which he read with pleasure, and thinks will culminate[?] to serve the cause of women's enfranchisement. The speakers on the wrong side in the debate richly deserved to be shewn up. Mr Mill has had the pleasure of receiving so many adhesions from ladies since the question was brought forward in Parliament that he is unable to find time for acknowledging them unless when specially requested to do so." John Stuart Mill (1806-1873) stood for election to Parliament in 1865 and campaigned in favor of women having the vote. He added a women's enfranchisement amendment to the 1867 Reform Act (which gave the urban male working class the right to vote) but it was defeated handily in a late May vote. His interest in women's suffrage continued for the rest of his life. Very fine. From the Judith Kaplan Women's History Collection.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
