Joel Chandler Harris Autograph Letter Signed, one page on autograph collector's letterhead, 4.25" x 7", n.p., November 14, 1904. Harris writes, "As it is very inconvenient and uncomfortable for me to use the pen, I shall have to forego the pleasure of writing a sentiment. The best that I can do is say that I am Sincerely yours,". Light toning, very fine condition.

Harris made his literary mark by collecting, writing up and publishing the Uncle Remus folktales of the Old South. This excellent letter exhibits the same sort of dry humor found in the Bre'r Rabbit stories. From the collection of Henry E. Luhrs.
