    Historian Francis Parkman Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 4.5" x 7"; "50 Chestnut St. / Sunday. 14 [?]" A letter to an unknown newspaper editor sending compliments for an "article in last Sunday's Herald uncommonly well done..." Mounted alongside an engraving of Parkman to an overall size of 13" x 10.5". Parkman was an American historian and horticulturist; his most noted work is The Oregon Trail: Sketches of Prairie and Rocky-Mountain Life.
    Condition: Letter appears to be mounted to the mat. An old price sticker is affixed at bottom left corner of glass.
