Extended Description: Albert Lacroix was a Belgian publisher who worked with and launched renowned authors such as Émile Zola and Edmond and Jules de Goncourt. Lacroix even set up his own firm, Lacroix, Verboeckhoven & Co, in order to sign Victor Hugo and publish Les Miserables.
