Francis Scott Key Autograph Letter Signed "F.S. Key". Three pages with integral address leaf, 8" x 13", Annapolis, Maryland, March 9, 1798. Written to friend and fellow law student John L. Kerr, later a prominent U.S. Senator. Lengthy and delightful content about their mutual love lives, practical joking, etc. He writes: "...I have you know, been violently in love for a longtime, but one Olivia shall not satisfy me, I have generally kept up the same number, about a dozen." Other charming content included, typifying the carefree life of a young student in those days. Fine condition; several old tape reinforcements; small hole on the last page; usual folds present; moderate edge wear and foxing.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
