Francis Scott Key Autograph Letter Signed "FS Key". One page, 12.5" x 8", Washington, February 10, 1828, from the author of the "Star-Spangled Banner" to Dr. Franklin Bache of Philadelphia.

    More Information:

This letter/envelope transmitted a deposition from Key which is not present. Key  also appears to have written the address on verso. Also on verso are post markings dated Feb.11 and remnants of the black seal; small fragments appear to have been lost at the breaking of the seal. The letter is worn with some separation at folds; contains some tape repairs on verso. All text is clear and readable with fine signature; good condition.
