Erskine Caldwell: An Autograph Letter Signed and an Apparently Unpublished Signed Manuscript by this Important American Novelist. Two presumably unrelated pieces: 1. A chatty ALS on Miami Beach hotel stationery, written to Edwin Carle on January 3, 1940; signed "E. Caldwell". Measuring 8.5" x 11", very fine but for original fold lines. 2. A seven-page typed short story entitled "The First Autumn," unpublished (at least under this title). Measures 8.5" x 11", and boldly signed "Erskine Caldwell" at the end. Fine condition but for original fold lines from insertion in a business-size envelope.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
