    Description

Emma Goldman Signature. A 3.875" x 2.25" card, no date, no place. Born in the Russian Empire, Goldman (1869-1940) emigrated to the United States in 1885 where she became a well-known writer and speaker on anarchist philosophy and women's rights. She was a participant in the plot to assassinate industrialist Henry Clay Frick in 1892; various other radical activities led to jail terms and, eventually, to her deportation back to her Russian homeland. Very fine with mounting traces on verso. From the Judith Kaplan Women's History Collection.
