Elena Rzhevskaya was a Soviet interpreter and spy during World War II. In her memoir, Memories of a Wartime Interpreter, she recounts being part of a top-secret Soviet unit tasked with locating Adolf Hitler's body amid the ruins of the Reich Chancellery. Rzhevskaya was entrusted with a box containing Hitler's dental remains, crucial evidence of his death. However, under orders from Stalin, the discovery was suppressed, and the remains were cremated before Rzhevskaya could publicly confirm the body had been found. She lived in Moscow for the remainder of her life, passing away in 2017 at the age of 97.
