    Edna St. Vincent Millay Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 5" x 8", New York City, March 7, 1920, to "My dear Miss Forbes._". giving permission for the use of one of her poems. In full: "By all means include God's World_ _. I shall be very pleased to have you use it._ Success to you in your undertaking. _ Sincerely yours,". The poem mentioned appeared in Millay's first book in 1917, Renascence and Other Poems. Millay (1892-1950) was a Pulitzer Prize-winning American poet, writer, and feminist. In 1923, she married Eugen Jan Boissevain, the widower of the famous women's suffrage martyr, Inez Milholland. Very fine, original folds flattened. From the Judith Kaplan Women's History Collection.
