    Description

    Charles Darwin Autograph Letter Signed "Ch. Darwin." Two integral pages, 5" x 8", Kent, February 5, [n. y.]. Writing to an unknown recipient, Darwin asks that his various honors be included in his role of membership in the Royal Societies, in part: "I write now partly to say that the K[ing] of Prussia has conferred on me the 'Ord. Boruss. Pour le Merite,' as I see it is entered in your List of Members, as mine ought to be when a new list is printed. As far as I see you do not enter Hon. Members of the R[oyal] Soc[ieties] of Edinburgh and Dublin; which Soc have made me their member." Light to moderate, but uneven toning.
