    Description

    A. A. Milne Quotation Signed. Two pages, 7.5" x 11", n.p., December 1936. The author of Winnie the Pooh signs an original drawing and transcription in calligraphy by Irving O. Thomas of "Vespers," a poem by Milne about Christopher Robin saying his prayers. Page two is illustrated with the young boy kneeling in prayer. Accompanied by an autograph letter signed and dated December 18, 1936, by Milne's secretary, Celia Brice, concerning the drawing and verse.

    More Information:

    Celia Brice's letter reads in full, "I enclose the drawing which Mr. Milne has signed. Mr. Milne also wishes me to say how very beautifully he thinks you have engraved the verse."
