[Lewis Carroll]. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson Autograph Letter Signed "C.L. Dodgson". One page, 5.5" x 9.25" (sight); Ch[rist] Ch[urch]; December 1, 1890. A letter to the Steward of Christ Church at Oxford: "I fear I must, on second thoughts, withdraw what I said about letting you have Port: we can, however, let you have Sillery, up to 6 dozen, if you like."

An Alumnus of Christ Church, Dodgson joined the university as a faculty member the year after receiving his M.A. He was an ordained deacon, and a lecturer in mathematics; after taking an early retirement from his lectureship, he assumed the post of Curator of the Common Room and it is in that capacity that he writes the letter offered here. Matted and framed with a small, colored print from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to the overall size of 9" x 13.25".

Condition: Letter is lightly toned, with usual mail folds. Ink has faded, but letter remains legible.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
