    Description

(Howard Phillips Lovecraft, subject.) David H[enry] Keller. Two Autograph Letters SIGNED (ALsS), dated 1 July 1952 and 7 July 1952, [and:] One Autograph Postcard (ANS), dated 21 July 1952. All to "Gil Margrove" [or "Margraves, the name is spelled variously by Keller]. Letters signed "David H. Keller, postcard signed "Keller." The correspondence relates to the sale of an out-of-print book by Keller and Lovecraft's handwritten astronomical notebook. Keller's correspondence and Lovecraft's notebook were part of the Philip Jack Grill collection. One wonders if Grill acquired them from Keller using a pseudonym or through a front man. Letters have old mailing folds; all in fine condition. The mailing envelopes (roughly opened) are present.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
