Partially in German, Rachmaninoff inscribes: "Herr Bertold, neuer zur freundlichen Erinnerung am Sergei Rachmaninoff (roughly translated: 'Mr Bertold, new to friendly memory, Sergei Rachmaninoff')/ 'on recording day', March 17, 1919." Mounted with a biography of the Classical Romanticist to a backing board to an overall 13.75" x 19.25".
Condition: Exhibiting mat burn, light soiling/staining, a few chips around the edges, and a 3.5" tear from the left edge, not affecting the signature or inscription.
