Wonderful Richard Rodgers archive featuring a typed letter signed to the estate of Alan Campbell on Dec. 4, 1965 that reads, "Dear Sirs: I am happy to send you the enclosed check which represents your share of "South Pacific" income derived from subsidiary rights. Sincerely Richard Rodgers." Alan Campbell was a scriptwriter. The archive also includes an uncashed check to the Harold Matson Company dated Dec. 13, 1965 in the sum of $10,000 and signed by Rodgers. Rodgers was a composer, born in New York City. He left Columbia University to study composition at the Institute of Musical Art (now the Juilliard School). With the lyricist Lorenz Hart (1895-1942) his first professional success was the Garrick Gaieties (1925). Other successes included Babes in Arms (1937), with the songs "The Lady Is a Tramp" and "My Funny Valentine"; The Boys from Syracuse (1938), with "Falling in Love with Love"; and Pal Joey (1940), with "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered". After Hart's death (1943) he collaborated in a spectacular series of hit musicals with Oscar Hammerstein II, especially Oklahoma! (1943, Pulitzer). Other successes were South Pacific (1949, Pulitzer), The King and I (1951), and The Sound of Music (1959). He died in 1979. Presented here is the ultimate Richard Rodgers archive: a letter regarding "South Pacific", an uncashed check for $10,000 for "you can't get there from here" and a superb signed photo all ready for display.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
HA.com receives more traffic than any other auction house website. (Source: Similarweb.com)
