DescriptionPierre Auguste Renoir Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 5.25" x 8" (sight), March 12, 1917. Likely written from the South of France, as Renoir relocated to Cagnes-sur-Mer in 1907. During the final years of his life, the artist was crippled by arthritis, which limited his artistic output and general mobility. Evidence of Renoir's arthritis is apparent in the near illegibility of his handwriting in this letter. In French, Renoir is writing with regards to pens and crayons he is expecting. Framed with an image of the artist and a plaque to an overall size of 22.63" x 24.13".
