    Giuseppe Verdi Two Autograph Notes Signed. Each card measures 3.5" x 2" (sight). The first reads, in full: "Arrange the meeting as per your letter to me. I did foresee Linda's dismissal. You did the right thing. As for Linda, I will do what is necessary. Again, my best wishes. Arrivederci! G. Verdi." The second reads, in full: "Monday, Just a few words to let you know that tomorrow night we will leave for Montecatini where we will arrive on Wednesday at 7:00 am - if all goes as planned. Greet Professor Laselli 1,000 times on my behalf and Pepina's; it will be a real joy for me if we could meet him once again in Montecatini. Arrivederci! G. Verdi." Neither note is dated. Matted and framed with a head portrait of the famous Italian Romantic composer, an envelope addressed to Verdi, two engraved plates bearing the translation of the above cards, and one engraved plate with a short biography. Attractively matted and framed to an overall size of 32.25" x 27.25".
