    Al Capp Typed Letter Signed. "Al Capp." One page, 8.5" x 11", on Al Capp letterhead, June 10, 1960. The left margin features a drawing of Capp's beloved cartoon character Li'l Abner. Addressed to Marjorie Nicholson of the Reader's Digest, the letter concerns articles written by Capp for use in the Digest. He also suggests that "possibly we might talk about my writing directly for the Digest." Alfred Caplin (1909-1979) was an American cartoonist known for his satirical cartoon strip Li'l Abner that ran for forty-three years. Edges are toned slightly with some tearing along the right edge. Fine condition.
