DescriptionAndrew Jackson Land Grant Signed "Andrew Jackson." One partially printed page of vellum, 14.25" x 9" (sight), Washington, D.C.; June 1, 1831. Certificate No. 2246, acknowledging "James Kennedy of Vermillion County, Indiana" and his ownership of "the West half of the North East quarter of Section Nine in Township fifteen [illegible] of Range ten West in the District of lands subject to sale at Vincennes, Indiana containing eighty acres." Countersigned by Elijah Hayward as Commissioner of the General Land Office. With a paper seal at the lower left. Matted and framed with an engraving of Jackson to the overall size of 28.75" x 16".
Condition: Flattened folds, with uneven toning and dampstaining. There are a few areas of soiling. Bold signature by Jackson.
