Alfred Dreyfus Autograph Letter Signed "A Dreyfus." One page of a bifolium, 4.5" x 7", n.p., circa 1905, in French to Émilie Aubert, the wife of the French author Émile Zola, concerning an invitation. Dreyfus wrote this letter three years after the death of Zola, and he mentions "our dear and regrettable Zola" ("notre cher et regretti Zola").

Alfred Dreyfus (1859-1935) is the central figure of the infamous Dreyfus Affair (1894-1906). A young French army captain of Alsatian Jewish decent, Dreyfus was wrongly convicted of spying on the French for the German government in 1894. He spent the next several years in prison. Thanks to the efforts of Émile Zola, Dreyfus' case was reopened and he was finally cleared in 1906. Afterwards, he was reinstated as a major in the French army.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
