    Alexander Graham Bell Autograph Letter Signed. One page with integral blank, 6" x 6.75", Washington, April 3, 1920. Addressed to Margaret Lee Rust two and a half years before his death, Scottish-born inventor Bell transmits one of his favorite quotations from Scottish poet, Robert Burns:

    "Then let us pray, that come it may,
    As some it will for a' that;
    That sense and worth o'er a' the earth
    Shall bear the gree and a' that."

    These four lines come from the final verse of Burns' song, Is There for Honest Poverty, more commonly known as A Man's a Man for A' That, published in 1795. With a fantastic 8" x 10" photograph of the heavily bearded Bell, circa 1904.

    Condition: Smoothed folds show toning; overall wrinkling. Text and signature are bold.
