    Description

    Albert Einstein Typed Letter Signed. One page, 7.75" x 7" (sight), in German, on his personal embossed letterhead, Princeton [New Jersey], October 8, 1952. Writing to Dr. Paul Rosenstein, Einstein explains that his is transmitting a brief remark (which is not included in this lot) and his permission for its use "if they consider it appropriate." Folds show some weakening and separation at the intersections. Matted with a photograph of Einstein and framed to an overall size of 16.25" x 19.75".

    Paul Rosenstein (1875-1964) was a doctor of urology and head of the Berlin Jewish Hospital who fled Germany for Brazil in 1940.
