    Description

Albert Einstein Typed Letter Signed "A. Einstein". One page, quarto (8.5" x 11") on his blind embossed letterhead, Princeton, New Jersey, April 3, 1941 in German to a friend offering his influence in assisting her son with a presumably government related application. Translated, he writes, in part: "Dear Frida: Please send me as possible the address of the man who is refusing the affidavit of your son. I will write to him immediately; such letters from me are mostly effective. As soon as the problem with the affidavit has been solved, I will write the letter of recommendation..." An excellent example of Einstein using his celebrity to assist others in need. Light folds, else very fine condition.
