    Abraham Lincoln Prisoner Release Autograph Endorsement Signed "A Lincoln" on the verso of a lined sheet 3.75" x 2", np, February 1, 1865. In full "Let these men take the oath of Dec. 8, 1863 & be discharged. Feb. 1, 1865." The oath Lincoln mentions was part of his Proclamation of Amnesty and Reconstruction that allowed persons in rebellion, with certain exceptions, who take an oath to support and defend the Constitution to be granted full pardon. Fine condition. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
