    Abraham Lincoln Document Signed "Abraham Lincoln." 17" x 13", one page document, which promotes Alvan A. Fengar to First Lieutenant of the Revenue Service of the United States. It is dated July 1, 1863, and signed in the lower right corner by President Abraham Lincoln. Fengar would eventually be promoted to Captain before his career would end. The Revenue Service was established in 1790 and served the United States Department of Treasury until it was merged with the Lifesaving Service to become the United States Coast Guard!
    The officer's commission is in very fine condition; usual folds are present; soiling is present along the folds; signature is bold and dark. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
