    Description

Abraham Lincoln Clipped Signature Affixed to a Carte de Visite of Lincoln by Photographer Mathew Brady. 2.5" x 3.5". Lincoln is featured in this studio portrait sitting in a chair wearing a dark frock coat, waistcoat with pocket watch chain, and bow tie in this Mathew Brady image. Affixed below his image is a clipped signature, measuring 1.5" x .5", reading "A. Lincoln." Brady & Co.'s National Photographic Portrait Galleries backstamp and two cent revenue stamp on the verso. The clipping with the signature shows moderate staining, but the signature is bold. Lincoln's image shows some light foxing and spots of staining, but is otherwise in very good condition.
