More Information: Concerning legal content on a previous judgment: "In the suit of Watson against Haight, unless the money is paid, you must proceed to a sale giving me a few days notice." The close of the letter reads, "Yr. Hb. St. [Your humble servant]/ A Burr" This letter was written four months before Burr became New York's third attorney general and twelve years before he became Thomas Jefferson's vice president.
