    [Wyoming Massacre]: Thomas Hartley 1797 Autograph Letter Signed [ALS]. Thomas Hartley (1748-1800), lawyer, soldier, Congressman from Pennsylvania. As a colonel in the American Revolution, he commanded the 6th PA Regiment on an expedition to avenge the Wyoming Massacre. 7.5" x 9" bilfolium stampless cover, York, Pennsylvania, August 21, 1797, signed "Thos. Hartley" on the second page, written to George
    Simpson, the Cashier of the Bank of the United States at Philadelphia. Hartley writes about financial matters, enclosing "two notes from me endorsed by Mr. Bingham" to be credited to his account in order to cover two notes that are coming due. Light folds, several tape repairs to verso of address leaf; else, fine.
