    [RMS Titanic]. Captain Edward Smith Certificate of Discharge Signed "Edwd. J. Smith." One partially-printed page, 8" x 6", Liverpool, February 1, 1895. Edward Smith (1850-1912), best remembered as the captain of the RMS Titanic who died when the ship went down after striking an iceberg, signs his name as "Master" to a discharge for Seaman F. C. Raddish from the SS Britannic, part of the White Star Line and the first with that name. Adhesive ghosting to the left edge. Scattered spots of foxing.
