McIntosh states that he wrote to Houstoun earlier "concerning my two Negro fellows Ben & Glascow who are in the Work House in Charlestown but forgot to inclose John Simpson & Co. Letter mentioned in it, which this is intended to Convey - and hope you will do all you can to Sell them to the best advantage for me. Pray try if you can Send me some Rum Soon as I am quite out." With a 5.25" x 6" engraved portrait of McIntosh (1727-1806), who served as a general in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War and is best remembered for killing Declaration of Independence signer Button Gwinnett in a duel in May 1777.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
