    [Mexican War]. Trinidad de la Garza y Melo Manuscript Circular Signed Regarding the Battle of Molino del Rey. Content fills two full pages, with de la Garza's signature and rubric appearing at the top of the third page. 6.5" x 8.5", Tula, September 13, 1847. de la Garza, as governor, issued this "Circular" to announce that "at 4:30 in the morning the North Americans attacked our positions at Molino del Rey in the area of Chapultepec; their numerous & strong columns were repelled three times by our valiant soldiers... The traitor Sr. Gen. Santa Anna in person commanded the column that forced the Americans to fall back on their positions." Light overall age toning; the lower half of the second leaf is missing. Bold signature with rubric. In fine condition.
