[Mexican War]. Captain John C. Pemberton Autograph Military Orders Signed for General William J. Worth. One page of one leaf, 7.5" x 10", "Hd. Qs. 2d Division. Monterrey," October 8, 1846. Just days after the Battle of Monterrey (September 21-24), Captain Pemberton of Pennsylvania writes and signs this "Order No. 45," which consists of two points: the first is that "Gambling establishments of every kind and description are hereby prohibited. Every person who . . . shall open & keep directly or indirectly such an establishment shall be arrested and committed to the city prison"; the second is that "Billiard tables are permitted but to be closed unless there be special exception, at the beating of Tattoo." The order was issued "By order of Brigd. General Worth [signed] J. C. Pemberton." Pemberton fought valiantly at Monterrey, accepting a promotion to captain as a result. Toned with smoothed folds. Two small holes at the upper left edge.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
