    Description

"Mercury Seven" The Right Stuff Book Signed by Six and by Chuck Yeager. Written by Tom Wolfe (New York: Farrar Strauss Giroux, 1979), stated first printing, 436 pages, with dust jacket. This popular book told the story of our early test pilots and astronauts; it was later made into an Academy Award-winning film. Signed on the first blank flyleaf as follows: "Gordon Cooper", "Chuck Yeager", "Wally Schirra", "John Glenn", "Alan Shepard", "Scott Carpenter", and "D K Slayton". Yeager was not chosen as an astronaut, but plays a large role in the book. Very good condition overall.
