    Description

    [Adolphe Thiers]. Group of Two Autograph Letters Signed "A. Thiers." The first is three pages, 5" x 7.75", n. p., n. d., addressed (presumably) to King Louis-Phillippe regarding some tension within the kingdom. The second is one page with integral blank, 5.25" x 8", n. p., n. d., to Stanislas Julien regarding a visit. Thiers (1797-1877) served twice as prime minister of France and as the second president of the French Republic. Both letters are entirely in French. With an engraved portrait.
