    [19th Regiment United States Colored Troops]. Jacob Johns Carte de Visite Signed. 2.25" x 3.75". The young black soldier is shown sitting in uniform, a medal pinned to his chest and an NCO sabre on his left hip. Johns, a native of Maryland, served in the army for three years, mustering out on January 15, 1867, in Texas. Areas of light toning and spots of foxing near the lower edge.
